FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh shared about the corporation’s future direction in the field of Blockchain and Metaverse.
On the afternoon of April 7, FPT Corporation held the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2022. At the meeting, Chairman Truong Gia Binh shared the corporation’s vision for blockchain and metaverse. These two areas are in the key plan for the future, he said. Over the past time, FPT has developed and trained virtual experts in different industries, helping many businesses and organizations to record breakthroughs in work performance.

FPT is promoting construction and development in the metaverse and blockchain – the next technology platforms of the future. The Group is still actively looking for M&A partners to invest more deeply in these two areas. The popular NFT game, Axie Infinity, developed by Vietnamese people, was also mentioned and appreciated by the president. For him, this is proof that Vietnam is not inferior to the world in the field of future technology.

FPT’s next direction will flexibly combine the metaverse with real life. The group will not only follow the direction of a purely digital metaverse but also develop a new term: the “real-virtual is one” metaverse. According to Mr. Binh’s explanation, this model will be much more sustainable than its original field.
Mr. Binh also added that FPT made blockchain the earliest in Vietnam. The first customer of FPT is Singapore Airlines. Since then, FPT has had a platform and leading experts in blockchain and NFT. Now, FPT prepares not to do it for customers anymore, but to make its own products. The corporation is aiming for global blockchain protocols implemented by FPT itself.
FPT’s education system will be the basis of human resource supply for the corporation in this field. Mr. Binh said that he had asked all students of the FPT university system to learn and learn about blockchain and metaverse. The Meduverse education program has also been revealed. The name is a combination of Education and Metaverse. This is a new learning technology that, according to the president, “arouses interest in learning, but learning is very deep, very interesting, very creative, bringing the role of students to participate more in the metaverse world”.
