FPT AdTrue – The developer of OnePad, successfully held one of the activities on the sidelines of the ‘Vietnam Gaming Industry 2022’ – The ‘Future of Metaverse’ talk show, with the cooperation of VnExpress and Binance on June 5th, 2022. The talk show welcomed Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corp, and Mr. Changpeng Zhao (commonly known as CZ), Founder & CEO of Binance as the guest speaker with the participation of more than 200 chief executives from top companies in various industries such as technologies, gaming, and advertising, etc.

“Future of Metaverse” is the first talk show of Vietnam Gaming Industry Forum 2022 organized by FPT AdTrue and VnExpress. In this talk show, two successful leaders of two influential technology corporations globally, Mr. Truong Gia Binh – CEO of FPT Corporation, and Mr. Changpeng Zhao – Founder and CEO of Binance, have shared their opinions and visions about blockchain and Metaverse.

Sharing his opinion about blockchain and Metaverse technology in Vietnam, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT and advisor of OnePad, stated that: “I think what makes Vietnam blockchain projects stand out is the commitment to the project despite all hardships and the ability to put our pride aside to learn and adapt. Consistently developing, researching, and exploring new ideas that are possible to apply, to me, is the key for Vietnam’s blockchain projects. Perhaps not all ideas would work, but the only way to create a breakthrough is to be consistent.”

To further elaborate on this opinion, CZ also shared: “I do aware of people’s skepticism of blockchain technology, specifically in Vietnam, where this technology still hasn’t been widely applied. But we can’t deny the fact that blockchain technology has proven its worth throughout the decades since it was first invented. During that time, thousands, if not millions, of ideas were born and deceased. But that’s not the case for blockchain; in fact, there was never a time when blockchain technology was more widely received and had many applications as today. So no, I don’t think blockchain is just a fleeting trend at all.”

Even though the Vietnam authorities haven’t given out a clear policy for this particular industry yet, the ‘Future of Metaverse’ talk show being hosted is considered one of the positive signs for blockchain and Metaverse projects in Vietnam. Vietnam will soon become the incubator for potential blockchain projects at this pace.
